Outdoor storage units are accessible from outside the building (similar to a garage). This provides quick and easy access—allowing you to park right outside the door of your unit. This makes it convenient for loading and unloading large items, such as furniture or appliances. The temperature in these units will be similar to the local weather conditions.
Climate-controlled storage units maintain a temperature between 55 and 80 degrees—protecting temperature-sensitive items from extreme heat and cold. Climate-controlled units are ideal for storing items that can be damaged by humidity, heat, or cold—such as wine, electronics, wood furniture, certain fabrics and upholstery, vinyl records, musical instruments, and magnetic media (such as computer disks and hard drives). Climate-controlled units are usually available inside a building and are accessible via a hallway.
A Storage Depot locations offering climate-controlled options include: our Chestertown location on Washington Avenue; our Middletown, DE facility; our Williamstown, NJ facility; and our Primos, PA facility.
